FIRM PROFILE

Jonathan Schloss / Architect provides comprehensive services in architecture, interior design and planning. Our work in the civic, commercial and private realms spans a wide range of scale and use, encompassing new construction as well as renovation. Our focus includes spaces for living and working, performing arts work, spaces for art and entertainment and renovation/restoration.

Our goal in every project is to create quality work, and to realize the potential envisioned by our clients through the marriage of pragmatic and aesthetic sensibilities. Our work offers a refined use of scale and proportion, materials and light, history and site to promote the possibilities architectural experience. Ultimately, it is our belief that improving our environment improves our lives.

Each successful project is the result of a fine balance of creativity and experience. We achieve this balance in every phase of the commission by creating a strong working partnership with our clients, immersing ourselves in the architectural process and ensuring that we establish and meet realistic project goals and timelines.

Creativity often takes the path of exploration. To be successful this exploration must be informed by experience. We generate ideas with our clients, exploring design options for program, form, space, materials and construction methods. We then evaluate those options through the lens of our experience. Our work seeks to forge strong connections to the place it inhabits and to the people who use it.
